Here are a few of my early works that helped me realize I wanted to get more people interested in the stories of others

As a multimedia journalist and historian, I had always enjoyed attacking the editorial end of content creation. I have worked at publications from as small as a my own blog, to Hearst Magazines, to a magazine for ex-pats living in Prague, Czech Republic. Below are some stories that I have written over the past few years.

Historical Research:

As a historian, my interests and research are drawn to the history and legacy of communism, WWII, cult personalities, and mass movements. I enjoy these topics as I am able to connect them with social and political movements currently happening and believe that the topics will unlock ones ability to understand foreign cultures when traveling or even eating food.

At Prague Wandering I served as a writer, editor, copywriter, videographer, and photographer. In this story I interviewed and took photos of a Czech female MMA fighter that pushed to fight the masculine dominated culture of the post-communist Czech Republic.

My personal blog served as an outlet for me to write freely about my interests, and caught the attention of an international audience. I wrote about topics that I felt needed a conversation, such as feminism, and music that uniquely affected me. My letter to David Bowie, in the wake of his death, resulted in an opportunity for me to be interviewed by ABC News in New York City, and was featured in online magazines across the globe. The letter serves as a personal note, history, and breakdown of the lessons that we can learn from Bowie's work.
